It emanates from the box more but does linger on the wood. The stability issue resolved one the legs were tightened appropriately. The table is beautiful and fits the space perfectly. The exact look we were going for. Love it is from reclaimed wood. We will be applying a satin sealer since the wood is not sealed. When wiping the wood down, the colors really popped! A 1.5" thick flame mahogany tabletop with an outswept Duncan Phyfe pedestal and turned column.   This tabletop is heavy, and it sits on an overbuilt pedestal with steel-reinforced, outswept sabre legs, terminating in solid brass-capped feet and levellers. This custom design offers homeowners extraordinary "floor to table" clearance; therefore, the table has generous room for armchairs and taller guests.  The table has a NATURAL finish, which is a clear lacquer topcoat, and the mahogany's natural colours exhibit amber, orange, reddish browns, and darker brown tannins.  The flame mahogany tabletop has a fine black and white inlay.
