This chair is a very large, sturdy recliner. I'm 6'3", 450#, and this chair seems to be handling my size adequately. The cushioning is plush and pillowy, and it's wrapped in an imitation, leather-like material. It looks like leather at a glance, but it feels soft, like a fabric. The seat is deep, so those with shorter legs might find it a bit uncomfortable. I really like the large, firm headrest; as firm pillows are generally my preference. Some who tried out this chair didn't like that though. So be aware, the cushion will hold your head slightly forward. The only reason I can't give this chair five stars is the stiff lever mechanism. It's so stiff the plastic lever starts to flex when opening and closing. Closing also requires me to push down with my heels on the leg rest, as well as lifting up on the handle. These are decent chairs. Ive had them a few weeks, now. One was very easy to put together, but the other was not. As other reviews have noted, holes arent always exactly lined up, which is a pain. But I did get both put together by myself. The easy one took only took about 15 minutes, including unpacking. A few weeks in and I have had to tighten some screws, and one of the chairs squeeks, but I cant figure out from what. And one of the screws wont tighten at all (but thats not where the squeek is). Delivery was timely, product was exceptionally packed, delivery person was helpful and courteous, delivered the package right to our front door. Set up was not difficult. My husband and I are in our 80s and did it ourselves. There were four pieces to put together, the seat, the seat back and 2 shoulder rests. Seatback slipped easily into the main chair. Shoulder rests were a little more tricky to line the tracks up because of the thickness of the padding. We had to turn the chair on its side and one of us squished down the padding while the other one slid the piece on its track, but overall not at all difficult.
