You can assemble this by yourself but it will take about 2 or 3 hours so I recommend having a second person help. It will go much more smoothly. The construction seems pretty solid and the cushions are soft and comfortable. There are several ways you can design or set up the couch so that it fits your space the best. I love having that option, especially for us girlies that like to rearrange and decorate all the time.
