It keeps my back warm and provides additional cushioning when I sit for long periods of time. It has a timer and a heat control device. I usually set the heat to max and the timer to 15-30 mins to be able to enjoy crisp heat for a bit before cooling down. I also reverse it sometimes to get heat on my upper back.
