I'm overall happy with the cooling power of the fan though you definitely get what you pay for here. The paper filter definitely has a wet paper smell during the first use but that goes away. I added some essential oil to the water and now it smells great every time. Overall it's functional and easy to use, clean, and store when you don't need it. Only true downside, it isn't as quiet on the whisper low setting as I was expecting. It's not terrible, but it is noticeable if it's as closely by you as instructed for optimal cooling.. Bridget. This is a wonderful handheld fan. It is very light weight so I am able to take it with me everywhere I go which I do. We have had a warm summer so far but I am also going through perimenopause so am hot all the time and this little fan has been a life saver. I sit it on my desk at work and it keeps me cool all day.
