I got this solar light because I want to have more lighting in my backyard at night due to wild animals becoming more common in my neighborhood. One important feature I was looking for was motion sensing so that hopefully I could tell if a critter was in the backyard before I let my dogs out at night when its dark. The motion sensor on this light seems to be somewhat irregular in what triggers it, and it looks like you have to be quite close to trigger it at all. It didnt seem to be regularly triggered by my dogs running past either. I mounted it on an 8ft pole I already had and got an umbrella stand base that I could modify from wayfair. I just put it up yesterday and will play with location and orientation. But so far, the jury is still out. I will say the light is quite bright... its hard to tell in pictures but on the higher setting, it illuminates parts of my yard at least forty feet away.

A beautiful addition to my yard or garden. I ordered the 10ft 3-Inch Diameter Galvanized Steel Outdoor Lamp Post with Flange Base by Locontifni. It was delivered quickly and in perfect condition. It is simple to assemble. It took less than 5 minutes to put together. It also includes the anchoring hardware or ground mounting hardware. I just add the concrete for stability. The lamp post has a nice brown finish. It does measure 10 feet tall and does accommodate a 3” diameter light. I paired it with the Fontane 16.5'' Diamond-shaped Dusk-to-Down Solar Lamp Post Head with radar sensor & remote by 17 Stories. It was a perfect fit.

This light fixture shows how far solar lamps have improved. First it so simple and easy to install on any 3 inch standard light post, I already had a light post, approximately six feet tall, after seeing how much light it emits I am thinking about getting a taller post.

I was a little skeptical at first about ordering this solar powered light….but I’m really glad I did! It works great. I wanted a light that would illuminate our walkway at the lower end of the drive . This one certainly fits the bill. The beauty of this lamp… 1. It is solar powered. 2. It has adjustable brightness settings. 3. It has a remote control. 4. It will stay lbright all night from a good daytime charge. I used a piece of 3” PVC conduit with a metal rod driven into the ground to mount the light in the walkway. Definitely worth the purchase!

Wow this is a great POLE. It’s very durable and very tall. I got it to install outside of our garage. But the big problem is that I didn’t realise it didn’t come with a light on top. So I still need to get a light but for now it’s a good pole.
