I really love this light fixture, but was not sure if it would work for me. I had a “chat” with one of the representatives for Wayfair to ask specifically if this type of fixture could be used as a light without the fan. I was strongly assured that it could be used without a fan. I happily ordered it. But when my electrician came to install it, he said there was no way to use the fixture without attaching it to a fan. I was devastated, and now have to return it at my expense. I am VERY UNHAPPY about the advice I received from the Wayfair rep! I have wasted time and money on something that could not possibly work for me.

The add is nisleading.it appears that the shades come with the kit.

This light was easy to attach to my new ceiling fan and looks great.
