This is a truly low profile fluorescent undercabinet light that does not protrude from beneath the cabinet skirt and gives excellent lighting for actual food preparation and reading cookbooks, not just for photos of your shiny new kitchen. Installation is straightforward, with one caveat. Because the fixture is only 78 deep, the knockouts are only 58 actual diameter (38 nominal size) not the 12 nominal size you are used to. The 38 connectors are not standard home supply store items, though you should be able to get one from an electrical supply house. One come with each fixture, and this is enough unless you need to wire multiple fixture in series and so need one entry connector and one for exit to the next fixture. Some of the knockouts are difficult to remove without bending the surrounding metal. But once installed, the fixture is unobtrusive, effective, and handsome (when you can see it, which is only when seated in a chair).
