I had the contractor lights in my small kitchen and thought I'd get something a little nicer. These are perfect. The lights are very bright; I have them on a dimmer and at the lowest they are still quite bright. But it's a kitchen and you want light there. The lights swivel so you can aim each one where you want it. I tend to constantly tweak things and sometimes I annoy myself with the changes I make but this tweak (replacing the contractor lights) was a good one and well worth it.
