Love these! However, the bulb you use makes all the difference. I tried 3 different bulbs to find the right one. Basically you want a can style downlight that lives completely recessed in the solid metal area towards the top of the fixture. If your bulb extends into the mesh area, you are completely missing the point of the fixture and killing the illuminated mesh effect. Here is a pic of the bulbs I used, $6/ea. at Home Depot, they dim very well. You can get whatever Kelvin tickles your fancy. I'm a soft white kinda guy.
