Bought these to line our walkway in the front of the house along our flower bed. They look really pretty…love the candles. Exactly what I was looking for. They have a warm glow.

Nice to look at when they will light. A year later only one shines bright.

Very tiny to reach the 19 inch height you need to double the rods which only leaves you 3 ground lights. Decent quality display options but not as bright as others. Happy I got them on clearance

They give off very little light . Not at all what I was expecting. I’m disappointed

Overall, we are pleased with the Alpine lights. It's been cloudy and rainy, so it took a bit for the solar to charge enough to assess them. We chose these lights for the versatility of being able to set them on a flat surface, such as the ground in our fenced in dog yard, but the clips on the handles allowed us to hang them from the fence also. They are working well so far. For feedback on the design, overall it is fantastic. The one constructive criticism is for the handles to stay in place / not interact with the top of the assembly being removed / lifted off in order to turn the switch on or off. Currently, the top can be picked up without needing to adjust the handle, but the ends of the handles are resting against the top inset area, so that once the top is lifted up/ off, the handle ends push in to the interior and the top can NOT be replaced without having to use both hands to pull the handle ends apart so the top can be set back in place. Frankly, that part is annoying. Additionally, the instructions do say to turn the switch to the ON position before setting the lights outside. However, it is easy to assume the switch IS ALREADY ON when the lights are ON as you are unpacking them from the box. But the switches were not in the ON position, and still DID need to be changed from the shipped position to the ON position. It took a few days of the lights performing at quite unimpressive levels for us to "double check" that they were switched to the ON position. The instructions should add a note that the LEDs might glow even in the OFF position, so the ON / OFF position should be CONFIRMED prior to placing the lights outside. All in all, we rate them 4.8 stars out of 5.
