This lamp turned out perfect for what I needed. I liked that the lampshade was whiter than it looked onscreen, and it was easy to put together. It definitely has a nice weight to it, thanks to the marble insert on the base. Overall, I think its a little overpriced... its a dupe of a high end look, but I don't think it needs to be this price as a dupe. As with a lot of 'brass' items, its a brushed on effect and on close inspection it doesn't look as good a real brass. Its fine for the purpose and it suits my dining chairs which have the same effect. I didn't love that it went on sale after I ordered but before it was delivered....grrrr! it arrives in two boxes - one with the base and the shade, and the other with the arc pole. also comes with a bulb and has a dimmer. I do recommend it, especially on sale

The first thing my daughter said when she saw our new lamp was “it looks expensive.” I’m really happy with the quality and design of this lamp. It throws light into the middle of our room which is great because we don’t have overhead lights. The brass is really neutral. Easy to put together and it really transforms our room. I’m very happy we bought it.

Overall this is a nice lamp. The metal cover for the base looks a bit cheap and I didn't realize that there is no diffuser at the base of the shade so you are looking directly at the bulb when you look up at it. If I'd known that I would have continued looking, but it's too much of a hassle to return. The base is super heavy so it won't move. It comes with one A23 15w 3000w dimmable bulb which is convenient. This is equivalent to a 100 watt incandescent. It's a bit too dim still for me so I will find a bulb that goes up to the stated 150 watt maximum.

I agree with the other reviews that the finish is less red, but the lamp has a nice gold finish. The base right now is sturdy as assembled, and other than positioning the base on its side a certain way to affix the lamp neck components, I didn’t run into trouble with assembly. The lamp itself is nice. However, my biggest complaint is the misleading 82”. The neck lamp at his highest is 78” before it bends back down. None of the reviews thus far mentioned the actual height of the lamp lower than advertised. I have a double floor ceiling so I was looking for a lamp with height as advertised to go into the room. The lamp may still work for your place, but I would’ve perhaps selected another with the actual height I sought.
