Absolutely amazing quality. Extremely pleased with this purchase. Bought another one for upstairs landing area.

I needed to replace two very old Oriental table lamps that were on each side of an antique Oriental TV. We looked for years for something that would "go with" the decor in our home, without luck. Then, I came across the Parra Dragonfly Lamp. I debated for several months, I believe it was, and finally my finger just clicked "submit order." When they arrived, they looked as though they were specially made for our home to bring everything together. The older lamps are now in her room where there was very little light. It was meant to be, and our home is over 100 years old. They arrived perfectly and when I saw them, I hadn't been so happy for a long time. When I got the bulbs in, I just plain cried. If only my mother had lived long enough to see these beautiful lamps she would be as thrilled as I am. How I wish she could see them. They are gorgeous! They are beautiful in the daytime, too. They are the first thing I look at when I enter the living room. I can't say enough about the beauty when they are turned on. They are well-made and have a good weight. Thank you so much for making "us" so happy!

The lamp arrived well packaged. As soon as I opened the box I noticed the quality was less than I expected, based on mostly positive reviews I've read. The glass pieces are good, but the black/brown seal material between the pieces (that held the pieces together, not sure what to call it) looks somewhat rough (to describe better: when I used a paper towel to wipe the outside and the inside of the lamp shade, the paper towel would be caught here and there resulting in minor shreds), the thin mesh-like metal that makes the dragonfly wings looks cheaply glued on. The lamp base and top are just so-so. Overall it looks a cheap replica of something that should have been finer. The lamp shade is also covered in a thin film of oil (not sure why) that smells. Not the worst smell, but I wasn't too happy about that either. I wasn't expecting the best workmanship, but at $250 I was expecting decent and solid quality, like a tiffany lamp I had for a while more than a decade ago (I didn't think that was a super expensive piece). However. Once I put the lamp together and turned it on, it did look very pretty. So I'm keeping it and giving it a passing score. You'd like it more if you are not semi-obsessed with details and quality as I am. Pros: Easy assembly, good packaging, nice look Cons: Poorer workmanship than expected
