Great lights! The light shows through just a little with a definite cool glow. They are a very cool shape and texture - you can't tell they are just corrugated! We sprayed a clear coat over them to help with dusting. The light output is based on whatever bulb you put in there and they can handle a very high voltage. They are not for area lighting but for lighting something right above. Also, they are super light which is a plus!
