The lamp is beautiful. The sides are a bit darker than the picture shows. The inside is white so when the light is on you see the white between each of the little sticks which is lovely.

paper interior lining up the shade came loose on one side pretty quickly. Less light than I'd hoped; expectations were higher based on an ex-roommate'a lamp of similar design. But this one's ok.
