Bigger than I was expecting, would have been better if is was all black though, not a fan of the gold underneath where the light is.

I ordered two of these lamps to display on both of my nightstands. I am very pleased with how they are substantial in size but not too overpowering. If you're going for a somewhat industrial look, the lamps fit the bill perfectly. They would not be the best option if you're looking for reading lamps though, as they project somewhat of an amber glow, which is not very bright. Fortunately I was looking for a romantic hue, and these lamps are just perfect in that regard!!

I was hoping to use this beautiful lamp in my husband’s new office, but after receiving it I had to agree with him that though it is a very nice lamp it is more farmhouse style than it is the modern styling he was looking for. This is a sturdy and well constructed desk lamp that enables you to adjust the direction of the light as well as charge electronics by simply plugging them in on the base. The gold on the underside of the metal shade not only adds beauty, but also enhances the lighting. A great choice!
