The shade is decent looking. But in no way does its quality reflect the price. This is a $99 fixture. If you are paying more as I did (~$250), you are getting an inferior product. There are serious quality control issues. I had three shades that were obviously defective. Not broken, but not shaped like the others and things like air bubbles in the glass, mysterious black substance on the inside impossible to remove, and white streaks in the glass. They have an unfinished bottom part of the bell that doesn't match the others. They are also very rough finished around the top where it mounts to the socket resulting in shades that will never hang level. The screw-in collars that hold the glass shades are also poorly made and I fully expect them to fail at some point. They are not threaded like most collars but instead just a piece of machined metal with the top offset to allow it to be rough threaded onto the socked threads. The wires are what we all come to expect with these chinese fixtures. It was actually cleaner than a lot I have seen but in the end there is always the issue of mating the house wire with these frail little fixture gauge wire. The included wire nuts would not affix. I was able to use push-in wire connectors. A little tricky as well, but the advantage is you can mount them to the fixture first, which is the hard part, before you are up on the ladder. I recommend. The mounting plate seems ill-fated as well. It is a flat square mount that you screw into the box plate. The problem is that the mounting frame that sits over that is mounted with teeny little screws. Its not a super heavy fixture but it is 40" and front-loaded, so the weight distribution might cause problems if your mounting situation is already precarious. Specifically, the weight of the fixture puts too much pull on the top of the plate. The result is a very unstable fixture even though it fit my plate and is affixed appropriately. There is no way to remedy this. I did add two extra machine screws through the plate to my box, but I put the odds at 20/80 that this will one day be a mess of glass atop my vanity. They provide two additional screws that can be used in the drywall but the amount of drywall between the 4" box and these mounting holes is so narrow that the wall anchors would likely just crumble that unsupported drywall. My house is old. Perhaps yours is better suited and those will help you sleep at night. The black coating was fine and in the end it looks as advertised. Its a nice design. Just poor execution, which unfortunately I come to expect - but I really hate overpaying. Wayfair is sending a few replacement shades, I think. We'll see how those match up. Given the ones in the same box didn't, I am not betting on it. Nor am I getting paid to revisit this job to remedy these quality issues.

Not the quality I was hoping for. Multiple shades were cracked and chipped. Not as sturdy as I anticipated. Would not recommend this light.

The vanity light is larger than I expected but it works perfectly with the barn door style mirror we purchased.

Beautiful light. The five lights add so much brightness to our bathroom, but not overwhelming. The design is pretty!
