I purchased this tamper-resistant outlet mainly for its multiple plug directions, and overall, it works well. However, I’m not entirely sure what makes it “tamper-resistant,” as it doesn’t seem to have any noticeable safety features beyond a standard outlet. Because of that, I think the labeling is a little misleading, so I’m taking off a star.
One of the best features is that the outlets are positioned in three different directions. This design helps prevent cords from bending at awkward angles, which can lead to damage over time. It’s a great space-saving feature and makes it easier to plug in multiple devices without overcrowding.
The built-in night light is just okay—not very bright and not something I’d rely on. I didn’t buy it for that, so it’s not a huge deal, but if you’re expecting a strong night light, you might be disappointed.
One thing I do wish it had is more USB-C ports instead of regular USB-A. With most modern devices using USB-C, it feels a little outdated to still prioritize standard USB ports. It’s still functional, but having more C ports would make it a much better long-term investment.
Overall, it’s a solid outlet with a clever design for reducing cord strain, but the misleading tamper-proof claim and lack of USB-C keep it from being perfect.
