This light is perfect for my desk. It has a nice hefty, solid metal base and casts the perfect amount of light on the work surface. And with the orangish colored shade it is not blinding at all.

Very cool lamp. We ordered 2, one had lighter green shade so we exchanged it. Next one was still a little different but I was tired of returning things so kept it. I don't even notice the difference now.
