Well, where to start. They say one picture is worth a thousand words, I have several. 1. Let’s start with the shipping packaging. The tape was loose and sticking out all around, and the box appears to have been gouged and crushed causing an ‘accordion effect’ at the sides. 2. It clearly appears to be a returned item which was not disclosed in the description: a) Upon opening box The harp was not even in the protective cardboard. b) The bag for harp had been torn open then tied in a knot with prong of the harp poking through the bag. Plastic covering around harp inside this bag was torn nearly all the way off. c) Bag for the electrical cord was not sealed, the bag was clearly cut, right through part of the information printed in the bag. 3.The lamp is not as described: this is not frosted crystal but appears to be clear glass. Also, the lamp I received is not by Charlton Home, as described in the listing, but by Springdale Lighting. I suspect this is a knockoff. And a faulty one at that, since the top of the harp where the shade gets attached is crooked. It appears to be soldered on to the top making it immovable, so it cannot be adjusted to tilt the shade. This also causes the shade to not be centered to the lamp base. I have several other photos demonstrating that this was a previously returned item, but for lack of space I didn't include. I was appalled when I received this poorly made product. I find it disgraceful that you would try to pass this off as something of quality. Did you really expect me to brush this off? With your reputation, I expected you to have much higher standards. I have ordered from you over the years and have never encountered anything this frustrating. Thank you for allowing me to waste a good portion of my Sunday unpacking, photographing, putting the lamp together just to find how horribly it was made - thereby needing to photograph some more, carefully repacking (in a better manner than how I received it, btw), sending the photos to my computer, and composing this email. And so, after all this you do not provide an email address anywhere on your website for customers to contact you to actually send it to you. Please email a prepaid return label and issue a refund immediately.
