We love the look of the light. we put an amber color light bulb love the soft light,

minor alterations regarding mounting to 1-1/2" pole - most including this fixture are made to a new standard 3" pole today

These are easy to assemble and install easily. We ordered the opal and are returning them. The plastic is incredibly white and incredibly plastic-y looking. It is just too cheap looking unfortunately and so we are returning. I wonder if the clear plastic looks better?

Have now had this outside on our dock for over a year and it’s held up wonderfully. No yellowing or cracking. Amazing given the harsh FL sun and salt water.

Looks great while being plastic! Removal for cleaning/bulb changing is easy
