It's heavy and that's what I was looking for. The shade rubs off coloring, so keep it away from a wall. My biggest complaint is the cord. The stock photos don't show the cord. it's loose all the way from the top. In my picture and on another review we have our cords wrapped/taped on the leg. I wouldn't have bought it if I knew this. Wish it came out of the leg like other high-end tripods. Will end up replacing this in a few years, probably.

Just delivered yesterday. I don't like how the screws chip so easily since its black but otherwise it's sturdy, simple, and works for my purpose. Also, quite a bit of light comes thru the black shade which is good.
