Visually this is a beautiful piece. However, the construction is extremely poor especially for the price. There are gaps where the wood from the top and bottom meet in each of the corners. Because there is no shade, the light can shine brightly depending on the wattage of the bulbs. (We bought to hang over our kitchen table.) The customer service was amazing and agreed to send out another pendant. Unfortunately, the "new" pendant was worse than the first. Very disappointing, but Wayfair handled the issue as well as it could. This really is a manufacturer issue.
