DONT TRUST THE SPECS! I was needing a fan that could be mounted on a high sloped ceiling, so I SPECIFICALLY filtered and reviewed the specs for "sloped ceiling". When the fan came, it was manufactured with a 3/4" down rod that was WAY TOO SHORT to be able to mount this large fan to a sloped ceiling! (Because the fan blades will literally hit the ceiling...) 3/4" diameter is a non-standard diameter size for the "down-rod supply isle" of the local HI store, so I could not buy a longer down-rod at any of the locally. I had to make more than 3 calls, over a week, back to Wayfair JUST in order to reach someone who said they could order me a 3/4" down-rod in a longer size. When that arrived at my office, a week later, I opened the box to find several 1" diameter down-rods. Yep, NOT 3/4"... they were labeled "3/4" diameter, but they were very clearly 1 (seriously!?!). So I still could not mount my ceiling fan and get on with listing and marketing the home that I've spent the last 3 months renovating. All the other work is done, and I am held up from being able to to sell the home by an undersized, un-disclosed, 3/4" down rod. (1" is the standard size, and 1" is the only size that I can buy OTC at a local HI store ) AND GET THIS... I went back to the specs on this fan, and I looked for "downrod diameter" in the specs and it says only "1"... not 1 inch, not 1 foot, not 1 mile... just "1"... It clearly DOES NOT SAY 3/4"! Also, I had bought 2 fans from "Red Barrel Studios" and BOTH of them came with this 3/4" down rod. Both were undisclosed; and both did not have any online link to correct parts or accessories. So, FAILURE HERE by both Wayfair and Red Barrel to provide accurate information for their product, or disclose the non-conforming diameter size. As a professional flipper/project manager, these kinds of omissions/mistakes can cost me and/or my property sellers a HUGE amount of money by messing up my time-to-market schedule. I've been using Wayfair as part of my shopping arsenal for 3 years now. I've spent many thousands of dollars so far... NOW I WILL HAVE TO RETHINK THAT. I can't rely on a source that I can't rely on!
