I'm weird about seeing cords- good lamp set for the price but really wish the cord was silver or clean and not black

These are pretty lamps... EXCEPT for the black cords that hang out of the back. As someone else mentioned, they also don't run through the base. Also, since the bottom of the base is transparent, you can see the black through the bottom, and it doesn't look the best. If they were white, they would be perfect. Will unfortunately be sending back.

the cord doesn’t run through the base and out the bottom as it should, but rather from the top of the bulb. Faulty design but other than that beautiful lamp.
