[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This lamp is quality made and the shade is white linen. I have it in my bedroom on my side table, the cord is 5 foot so it is long enough. The lighting is ambient but compatible with LED if you wanted to purchase that type of bulb.

The texture of the base looks like it's made of sand but it's actually very smooth. The shade is beautiful light white and is a nice contrast to the beige base. Such a beautiful lamp! If you're needing an accent lamp for a small spice, this oner is highly recommended!
