This is listed as contemporary, however it would fit a traditional structure just as well. In fact, my house has art deco elements in the leaded glass entry doors that pair very well with the geometry of this medallion in order to mix the two styles (E.g. the art deco skyscraper globe on the pendant light actually mimics the muqarnas of Islamic domes and arches -and pairs excellently with a star geometry of the medallion). I just happened onto this after oodles of searching. I found a second one as well. I love them both, and they are a far cry from the egg-and-dart, heavy and old-fashioned ones that used to be be positioned where they are now. This one comes in two pieces, that is very easy to install.
