This design is created from two separate pieces being joined together with some sort of Brad nails. The edges are very porous and require special attention when painting to appear smooth. I ordered two of these for an outdoor covered patio to accent two ceiling fans. On both of the medallions the top piece was not centered over the base piece. This was obvious as soon as I looked at each one due to the center opening being offset. I also had a partially exposed brad nail. How isn’t there a jig to prevent obvious misalignment during fabrication?!

Centered a dining room light and needed the medallion to cover the other hole. I shopped for a long time until I found this one which was made nicer than others 8 have seen . I am very happy with it.

We replaced our ceiling and decided we needed to upgrade the ceiling medallion in our dining room, since we had to take the light down . I researched medallion and found this one. We have a craftsman house and bought this one. The quality exceeded our expectations as well as the look. We couldnt be happier with our purchase.
