Love these battery, timed, lit ornaments. Look beautiful on our tree. We have received many compliments on these ornaments. You do need four AA batteries for each ornament. I stock up on them when they are on sale throughout the year so I have them on hand to use during the holidays. Depending on the battery power, most of them last about two weeks before Thanksgiving to about one to two weeks after Christmas with the ornament during on for five hours each evening. This is my third year using them, and so far I only have one ornament that is no longer lighting up. Hoping the rest will last longer, as these ornament are rather expensive depending on their size.

The light are perfect just another light for the tree outside my house.

When I ordered this ornament, the listing included the words "solar powered." Wanting ornaments with a solar panel to recharge the battery, I ordered 4 of them. It turns out that they use 4 AA batteries EACH. If you want AA battery operated, these are quite pretty. But I was dissatisfied (to use a polite term).

This was better than what I expected. larger and very pretty!
