I was intimidated by some of the reviews regarding assembly but decided that I really wanted these sconces, so I took a leap of faith and I’m glad I did. So, assembly took 47 minutes for each fixture but each of these spikes now screw in, so no tapping tool needed. Not super easy on the fingers but really not a big deal. I’d highly recommend a well lighted area and start with the lower ring (wall side rather than bulb side). You get 2 extra spikes if each size, so if you have trouble lining up threads, just grab a different spike. I just finished assembly and am really excited about installation, but that will have to wait for another day.

Looks great, awesome brightness, but I didn’t use all of the metal rods for construction because it was a terrible process. Took forever and I only put in 32 rods per light (I bought two). Each light holds 80 rods. The holes were a cut right so I have to use the plunger tool for several. Then the plunger tools made the holes too big and Then the rods were loose and had poor separation, etc. overall, happy with purchase, but I would have paid an extra $50 each if they were pre put together.

These are gorgeous but… assembly was a brutal!The rods are painted over making it extremely difficult to insert into the sconce. Assembly is offered, splurge for it. It will save your fingertips and time !!!
