It is not actually gold, it is orange. Does not go well with any of our other gold lamps in the room. The top looks cheap and plastic. The cover does not obstruct the lamps enough from sight, but it still does not emit a lot of light. I have initiated a return.

Lamp is definitely more gold than brass, which is what I had originally wanted BUT it’s a great lamp and sturdier than expected. Love the chain pulls and the double light. Decided to keep it even though it hadn’t been my original plan.
