This is perfect for the antique stained glass lamp shade I have. My original lamp was damage in a recent move. I wanted something substantial to hold the heavy shade. I have tired a couple of other lamps and they were not substantial enough. I took a chance and this was perfect. It is NOT a lightweight lamp and it will hold a heavy shade. Some people might not like the weight of the lamp, but I LOVE it!

The lamp is great, but when I went to screw on my leaded glass lamp top, the screw on this lamp is too big. So disappointing!!!!! The screw on this lamp is bigger around than my old vintage lamp base. Now what??
