Collect water unless level or pointed down which defeats the purpose

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ok, let’s talk about build quality. This thing is robust. Appears to be mostly cast iron with a powder coat finish. It’s incredibly strong and durable and even the stake you put into the ground is powder coated cast iron. It has well protected solar panel (again on a cast iron base) that won’t be easily damaged. The switches that turn the light on and off and also change the warmth are covered by a clear silicone so that they are weather proof. The light has a sensor so it only comes on when the ambient light is low enough to require a light source. The throw is pretty good. Works well for lighting up my boulder (we are going to inscribe it soon). It feels like it would do ok for a flag pole but maybe not as bright. Installing the light is a breeze. There is a ton of extra wiring that can be easily wrapped around the solar panel. It comes with two stakes to allow for separate location of panel and light or you can attach them together on one stake as I did. I highly recommend this solar light for your landscaping projects!

Very weak light for a spot I put it on ground towards a small tree at night and it does not get far night into the branches. If this is what we get with 100 lumens I think we need a light that produces at least 2x more. For a low bush might be ok but not for a tree I also put another one trying to lit the house door number that is on the entrance of the driveway. Same issue there. You can’t tell the difference that much. Also I wish I did have to use the two spikes to separate the panel vs the light, you can aim high enough the two are mounted together I was trying to aim at 3 feet high and the beam would not go far up enough. I mounted the panel and the light in two separate spikes and solved the issue but it seems like the could have design it better to allow for higher angle

My husband has a new flag pole in our front yard and I wanted the spotlight to shine on it all night. And it does!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Heavy duty construction, this solar light is designed for all weather conditions and elements. I was surprised by how heavy the metal was. Typically the solar lights o have purchased in the past are constructed with plastic. So this was a pleasant surprise! The light is bright and projects very well onto our landscaping and front of house. All of that being said, it does not work half the time. I have no idea why? It’s more of a surprise when it does work, than when it doesn’t - which of course is super disappointing.
