My favorite light. It is amazing.

I should have known not to go for the chandelier with literally one review anywhere online, but here we are. I’ve found this one too poorly made to justify the price tag. Why? Because the threaded ends of the rod directly above and below the center, a canister-like compartment where the extra length and exposed tips of the wire could be stored away, were stripped. The canister of sorts would not remain closed even when screwing it shut, but this was only the case if you managed to wind it up the threads of the shaft up against it. If you let the canister center slide back down the shaft, you were then able to successfully close it. You could not have one properly closed section without the other failing to connect. My contractor worked on this particular issue for at least 45 minutes straight and could not get the piece to cooperate as needed. I called an electrician and was immediately advised to return the item, as the stripped threads were impossible to resolve, and of course with the wooden exterior all one piece, there is no way to just swap out a new center. Considering that it was actually very well packaged I am going to attribute this to poor manufacturing. I understand this happens from time to time, but for nearly $400 BEFORE accessories and installation fees, these purchases shouldn’t just fall apart on the customer. Fortunately Wayfair fully refunded the purchase today, so all I really lost was time in a lit room.
