The bracket that holds up the lampshade is defective - the metal that fits into the grooves of the lamp is produced incorrectly, with different lengths at the base (before the bend), which causes the lampshade to always be tipped. The metal is too thick to adjust yourself.

Beautiful floor lamp! Just the right height for the space I needed. It replaces a 25-year-old lamp that finally gave up, and it looks so much better. The lamp is heavy and sturdy, with a classic look that matches the room's vibe. It was easy to put together. It is not shiny gold, which is accurate based on the product photos. I am very pleased with this purchase.

For whatever reason, it's been getting harder to find floor lamps that have both of the following features: a) a harp, so you can use your own shade if you desire; b) a switch on the lamp itself (as opposed to a step-on switch on the floor). This is the kind of lamp you need by your bed, for easy access in the middle of the night. Great lamp!

It’s a nice base, but the item arrived with a damaged shade. Wayfair made it right.
