Nice fan. Does not provide a real bright light but is enough.

love all the fans at half the price of local hardware store. Love to buy local but $99 is better than $199.

Please read this review if you plan to control speeds on this fan with a wall control, or use it without the light kit. I'll start by saying that most of the assembly process was pretty easy. The instructions are better than for many other fans I've installed, and everything fit together very well. Everything was fine until I got to the point of removing the light kit, which comes pre-attached to the cap that goes on below the fan body. The finial/light kit has to be removed, and doing so is VERY difficult. You must first remove a nut from inside the cap. There is very little space to get a wrench in there to do that; I tried with an adjustable wrench, and an open end wrench, and because of the angle, they kept slipping off. I ended up having to cut the black and white wires that run through the finial (you don't need them anyhow, if you're not installing the light, and you can then just unplug the push-in connectors from the wires that had been going through the finial). This allowed me to get a deep socket, size 9/16", into the cap and onto the nut. Even with the socket on it, the nut was VERY difficult to turn; I had to get a large wrench on the finial (the piece where the two light bulbs go) to hold it in place, while I cranked the nut loose. After that, I used the wrench to loosen the finial, which is threaded into the cap, and which was also very snugly installed. I bought and installed two of these fans, and someone really cranked these things into place. They also omitted a step in the instructions for assembling the fan without the light; there is a nine-pin connector in the cap, and one in the bottom part of the fan, and they must be connected, matching the red dots, or the fan won't work. My other issue is not so much with the instructions as with the description on the Wayfair web site. The description states that his is a 3-speed fan, and I had bought a 3-speed wall control to operate it. When I fired it up, the fan wouldn't work. After looking through the specs in the manual, I discovered it is actually a 4-speed fan. After some research, I ordered a Hunter 4-speed fan control, model 27181, which works perfectly to control both fans. Meanwhile, I'm out $30 for the 3-speed switch, which I can't return, thanks to the inaccurate product description on the web site. Anyway, we're very happy with the fans; they look fine, have a nice low profile, and are very quiet. Just be aware you're buying a FOUR-speed fan, and you'll be fine. By the way, I tried to add a couple of pics of the fans, but apparently the site doesn't support the HEIC format used by iPhones; apparently no one else has one. I took screenshots, and that format apparently IS supported.

Very nice fan and blows a lot of air. The bulbs that came with it are more of a yellow tone but are still bright enough. I wanted a bright white shade but this is more of a cream color compared to the white ceiling but it is still nice.
