The light is just ok for us. I wasn’t prepared for the actual lights being as visible as they are when turned on. The bulbs we got at HDepot are too harsh so my husband just ordered the warmest ones he could find online, so maybe we will then get more of the gold glow shown in the picture. When the light is off, it is very dark—be aware that there is no gold at all actually on this fixture, it is just iron. We got the oiled bronze color. The fixture is very well made and it was well packed. I do like that they have a filter around the light bulbs, it just isn’t enough. They included several sized rods which was helpful. Overall, I wish I had gotten something better for this price point, despite the very cool design.

the light is like an art piece however it does not emit alot of light so be careful where you use it. it will need other light sources around it
