These lights are made of plastic and the batteries are very cheap. There is no cover on the lights. I really dont recommend this item. If you need it to illuminate the numbers of your home maybe. There are better lighting for your hard earned money. Take my advice. Not worth the money. Respectfully Dr. Martin PhD
