Our favorite lamp in the house

I am very disappointed in this lamp. I loved the look of it online and I bought 2 for each of my nightstands. Here are my complaints. 1. It came damaged. The stud for the lamp shade popped out of the lamp base. 2. A regular bulb does NOT fit!!! It says in the description that a regular bulb fits. I took the standard appliance lamp bulb and screwed it in. It stick out of the top of the base, and now the lamp shade cannot be screwed down because it hits the top of the bulb!! So you have to get a smaller bulb, which leads me to my next point. 3. Light output, it’s upsetting. You may be able to find a small bulb that fits and has a brighter light output, but since the bottom of the shade is black (NOT gold like it looks like in some pictures) it doesn’t reflect much light, and since the shade is solid metal, it doesn’t cast ANY light on your wall or ceiling 4. Also, the actual socket for the light inside is the lamp base was crooked. So the bulb sits off center inside of the base. Overall, bad quality control and craftsman ship, this is on top of the lamp shade “stud” backing out of the lamp base. TLDR the light output is upsetting, a standard bulb does NOT fit, and the quality control (at least on my lamp) was horrible!

Really pretty, but the ad would have you believe it takes regular light bulbs, it doesn’t. After going to the hardware store I came up with the right ones, but it took a bit to figure it out!

I love it!
