This light is NOT dimmable unless you run a separate low-voltage line through your walls and ceilings. It requires a 5-wire, 0-10v dimming system in order to work. This is not compatible with pre-existing residential wiring. Unless you're purchasing this for a new-home construction situation, you will either have to fish new wiring through your walls or accept the fact that you can't dim this light. In my mind, it is unacceptable to not specify this in the product description. Simply stating that it is "dimmable" is misleading.
