The depth of the shade is 10”. It should be described as 10”x30” NOT 20”x 30” You can also see the metal wire frame even with the cover on. The bottom shade cover is smaller than the shade.

YES! Adds an element of style to an eat-in kitchen that had none. Easily installed. Well packaged for shipping. 100% what I wanted. Love that the light filter on the bottom is about an inch or two smaller in diameter than the base of the shade, so it doesn't fill up with debris. 100% recommend.
