Definitely a statement piece! It was taller than I realized but still works with my standard height ceilings. I decided to use it over my makeup table and it provides great lighting from multiple angles. The beautifully arching arms put the metal globes right where I need them to light all sides of my face evenly. It provides plenty of light for getting ready for work before the sun comes up and it looks cool even when it is not turned on when daylight is enough. The base is pretty heavy and makes me feel confident that it won't tip over. I recommend asking for some help with lifting it though and don't recommend trying to move it by yourself. Even though it has a strong presence in the room, it was easy to put together and fit well in a fairly small corner between the vanity and the wall. I will advise buyers that the three way lighting means click one is the center globe, click 2 is the two outside globes and click three turns them all on. I misunderstood this and ended up buying 3-way bulbs that I didn't need. Just get standard bulbs and the lamp itself adjusts the level of light. I definitely think this would look amazing in a big room with vaulted ceilings but it also works in a small space like my changing room.

The lamp is great. We’re using it in the corner of our main living space to provide light where there isn’t any. We have lower ceilings and were a bit concerned of the lamp's height. Before we put the shades on, the lights were scraping the ceiling. So we bent them down a little. However, no need as once you put the shades on, they droop a lot more so low ceiling-tall lamp problem solved. Ok, I’m blaming the assembly on my daughter, LOL — we did not have the easiest time. Issue 1- we put the whole thing together and then screwed in bulbs. The middle light didn’t work. So we disassembled and worked on the junction box which self-lock and in the process of attempting to get it open (I never did) I stabbed my thumb with a screwdriver! Some time after, I realized that the light switch could possibly be on two lights and not all three. That proved to be true! Wish they had the light set for none or all 3 — not 2. Would have saved us a lot of time! The next issue we had was upon cleanup after assembly, I realized we did not put the cap on the base. It wasn’t obvious that it had a cap for the base. So we had to disassemble the bottom, which technically steps one, and redo alot. Net net, we didn't have a quick assembly. I'm positive this is user-error though.

I love this lamp! It is exactly what I was looking for and is perfect for my space. It is very tall so I could put it over the couch and there isn't any issue with people sitting under it. The metal globes are unique, much easier to clean than fabric, and I like the way light shines through the slats.
