[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The instructions were a bit unclear, but we managed to assemble everything correctly. We attached the blades after connecting the motor/unit to the quick connect. Once everything was in place, we switched on the fan using the remote. I must say, it is very quiet and the airflow is remarkable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are by no means experts in the electrical and hanging up ceiling fans department but this experience wasn’t bad at all. Initially we thought we might have an issue installing this Hilwa Ceiling Fan but setup took about an hour. We had to break it down into a few parts when completing the installation. We did have to google a few things and try to find some videos but all in all it wasn’t to dreadful. It’s a beautiful white 6 blade ceiling fan. I would absolutely recommend this brand to other novice/beginners. The thought of it was way worse than the actual installation. Now we are pros and are enjoying a beautiful lighted ceiling fan. Looks very sharp and it has elevated our guest room! I like that you can unplug it if you need to clean or paint your ceiling. I appreciate that it has a remote control too. All in all it was a very good experience and we are happy with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm generally pleased with this fan and how it operates, although the installation was more difficult than anticipated. The motor is exceptionally quiet – the only thing you hear is the gentle whoosh of air, not any mechanical noise. It effectively moves a large volume of air and has an unobtrusive design. Having a remote control included is a convenient bonus, and I really like the integrated light kit. The ability to dim and control the color tone is fantastic. The SkyPlug system that attaches to the junction box is a great idea – you’re able to pre-wire that base plate onto the ceiling, and then the fan body slides onto it with a click & twist. It made the final connection with the ceiling incredibly quick. However, it took quite some time to get to that point. Wiring the fan portion of the SkyPlug & the remote kit was relatively difficult. If you're looking at this for a room with 8' ceilings, be aware that the bottom of the fan sits down ~16" from the ceiling without the extra extension rod - that leaves the bottom of the fixture roughly 6'8" from the floor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If I could give this a 3.5, I would. At the end of the day, it’s a really smart idea to have a modular fixture like this. I’m excited to see how this company grows. That being said, the instructions were super confusing. The paper instructions were different than the videos from the scannable QR code. The wiring was slightly different, we had a lot of extra pieces without explanation, the remote was different, and we weren’t provided an extra grounding cable. Luckily we were able to salvage one from the fixture we replaced this with. My husband is a plumber, and we both worked on this together. To be fair, we were SUPER meticulous, but it did take us about two hours to remove the old fan and install this one. It felt important to play safe considering that this is a fairly new product and this fan is mounted directly above our most used space in the living room. The one thing that unsettled me the most was how different the instructions online vs paper were concerning the final install. They described the snap, turns, and click into place in different order. We also had to read the smaller pamphlet included with the remote instead of the main instruction manual on how to change temperature setting of the light. Really cool that is has two options, and the fan speed and ability to change direction are impressive. Hopefully they iron out these kinks because this has to potential to being an incredibly practical household item. I bet house stagers/realtors would be thrilled to utilize something like this. Especially at its price point.
