Size of base plate is smaller than standard sized electricial box. Needed to hide part of the electric box with putty and then to paint over it. I recommend buying something else so you wall looks as good as it should.

Very heavy solid brass. Shiny. It didn't work for us but I would recommend it.

Purchased 8 of these to go on opposite walls in our octagon room. They fit the elegant look I was hoping for. They are a bit narrow where they attach to the wall so would recommend using a switch box instead of an octagon box which we were able to do being a new build. I added navy silk lampshades which I also purchased from Wayfair to complete the look perfectly.
