I really like this lamp. It was easy to put together. But the lamp shade was broken upon delivery. I know it can be replaced.

Love the lamp. Wish I had the chance for a brown shade instead of white or black. Otherwise looks great in my living room!

2 months later update: The shade is held together by a sticky strip of velcro. This strip seems to fail after a couple of months and doesn't hold the two sides of the shades together. I'm constantly trying to re-stick it together and now trying to figure out other solutions to keep it together and it's really frustrating. Second point is the little screws that hold the top arm and the base piece together also seem to fail after regular use. They continue to wiggle loose and then this causes the top part of the lamp (brassy part) to start leaning over and cause rubbing on the black base piece which is slowly rubbing off the finish where these two pieces come together. Again, another issue I'm trying to figure out how to fix this as I like the over all look and function of the lamp, but the failure of these elements is frustrating. Original Review: 4 stars- Attractive lamp and style is exactly what I was looking for. There are elements though that look a bit cheap (the seam on the lamp shade, the screws on the main arm that hold the upper lamp part to the base), but they're all relatively hide-able. The most irritating part was attaching the upper part to the base. The nut and washer situation included with the unit did not adequately hold the lamp to the base. Also the tool they send you to use didn't work particularly well. We had to buy a replacement nut and washer and definitely required some of our own tools to get into that space. Other than those annoyances, the item itself looks great.
