Shade material is very nice. Love that there is an onoff switch (as well as hard wired to wall switches). We purchased 2 for bedside. Option wiring if you want to configure as a plug in. Quality purchase.

These look so great! I did not thing I would like them with the cord outside of the wall but with the cover on the cord, they actually look really great!! Sit in bed and measure where they need to be placed based on your height. Google the standard height and then adjust to your needs.
