Came scratched and the brown coating on the glass base immediately started peeling out of the box

Item arrived with dented lamp shade box was damaged and the lamp base I tried to wipe with mild dish soap and dried with microfiber cloth and it removed the coating. The cloth turned black brown. I called Wayfair right away and they didn’t refund me. They said I have to wait until manufacturer contacts me. Looking for a new lamp. Poor finish on glass. Poorly packaged lamp shade.
