It's difficult to tell whether this was a good buy without taking the lamp parts out of the box. When the carton arrived, I noticed the side and end were damaged. I opened it to check the parts, the glass shades in particular and found that the shades were packed in styrofoam, except the bottom edges were exposed to the cardboard side. One was completely shattered. Not knowing at first how Wayfair would handle this, I left the contents in place after snapping the necessary photos. I'm now waiting for a replacement, taking twice as long to arrive as the lamp. One star for stupid packing and no 'FRAGILE!' labels.
