Metallic base is very nice looking and heavy weighted but overall finishing is mediocre (the base has a cover over the metallic bottom because otherwise it would scratch the table - the cover wasn't glued on nicely so I still had exposed metal edges which I tried to remedy with my own stick on padding). Lamp shade is cheap - looks very thin, the edge isn't glued neatly and the shade doesn't sit straight on the harp (a little DIY to prop up one side).

This lamp is very pretty. It has some weight to it. I am happy with the purchase. I would have liked a finial that matched the lamp but I still like the lamp very much. It is a unique design.
