Our electricians were really impressed with these lights. We ended up plugging them in because hardwiring would place the lights too far from the edges of my daybed. No matter, they are lovely!! You might want to add a plug-in dimmer but they are easy to find.

We did the plug-in option, very easy to install with levels and a drill. Shades did well to shield eyes from direct light from the bulb while providing max illumination.
